Libra

Libra in vedic astrology“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot;
together we can do great things.”
—Mother Teresa

The symbol for Libra is a pair of scales suggesting balance, equilibrium and justice.

Libra is a sign of social awareness. A love of harmony, fairness, and an ability to see both sides of a situation, makes Libra a sign of mediators, negotiators, marriage counselors and diplomats. Librans are friendly people, although their need for balance sometimes makes them impersonal and detached.

In Libra, Venus is the ruler of an air sign and demonstrates the importance of being flexible and adaptable. Although this is usually an admirable trait, sometimes people with planets in Libra can be overly adaptable, expressing an almost chameleon nature. Libra's ability to see two sides of everything can make some people indecisive but can allow others to develop objectivity and leadership skills.

People with well placed planets in this sign are often idealistic and can be leaders of political or social change. Librans have a love of truth and the ability to influence others. Talented and multifaceted, Libra's artistic charm and good sense of balance and proportion also cultivates the abilities of artists, architects and designers.
